Last weekend was the Natural Products Expo in Anaheim. It is an annual event in California and I believe it is the largest trade show for “natural” products. michelle victoria June 19, 2011     No Comment     Activism, Climate Change

Last Monday I had the privilege to hear environmental activist Tim DeChristopher, give a talk here in Santa Fe, NM. Tim’s activism took a more committed turn when he attended a BLM auction in December 2008  that was selling pristine wilderness for oil and gas development. Tim had thought that he might interrupt the auction to

We have watched the oil spilling, no gushing is more accurate from the exploded deepwater drilling rig. We cannot see what is spewing from Fukushima, but we know that it is dangerous and potentially deadly. We see these events in the news yet there is something else potentially equally dangerous, and maybe even worse, and that

  • Not all Organics Are Alike

michelle victoria March 4, 2011     No Comment     Changing Habits, GMO-GE Information, Industrial food practices

For many who have recently transitioned to eating organic food (and even for many who have been eating organic for years), it can seem like an easy change…just buy products that are labeled “Organic”. Sad to say but today not all organics are really what many of us, myself included, would consider organic in the

michelle victoria February 21, 2011     No Comment     Changing Habits, Industrial food practices, Restaurants

There has been much written about the frightening aspects of fast food meat, from how the animals are raised to massive amount of antibiotics and hormones these animals are given, not too mention the massive amounts of polluting waste coming from these large factory farms, also known as CAFO’s (concentrated animal feeding operations).
